Our Board

Masonic Care Queensland’s Board is the Freemasons Board of Benevolence and of Aged Masons, Widows and Orphan’s Fund (Board of Benevolence).

The Board of Benevolence is the official charity of the United Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons of Queensland and their primary role is to support Brethren, their families and the broader community through fundraising and benevolent activities. The Board of Benevolence is also responsible for overseeing the governance, prudential, risk management and compliance aspects of Masonic Care Queensland.

Former Managing Director Dranstock Pty Ltd and former CEO Associated Furnishers (Qld) Ltd. Extensive experience in the Australia and New Zealand retail sector.

Colin was a District Grand Architect from 1996 until 2000, and was elected as President of the North Queensland District Board of Benevolence 2000-2010. He joined the Grand Board of Benevolence in 2000 and serves on the Planning and Review Committee.

Graham was appointed to the Board in September 2010, and is a member of the Finance Committee. He is a non-Executive Director of ROC Oil Company Ltd and Chalmers Ltd. A past non-executive director of Transpacific Industries Group Ltd and several other listed companies. He was formerly CEO of the Port of Brisbane Corporation, and currently is Managing Director of International Infrastructure Management Pty Ltd, with extensive experience in consulting to and managing a broad range of ASX listed and other companies.

Gary joined The Board in 2012 and is a member of the Finance Committee. He has held General and Executive Management positions in the Health, Facility Management, Hospitality, Age Care and Retirement Living industries. He brings a strong background in all facets of Operational Management within large and geographically dispersed organisational structures.

Tom joined The Board in 2009 and chairs the Finance Committee. He is a senior manager for QR National, Chair of Rail Skills Australasia Ltd and is a Non-Executive Director of Rail Innovation Australia Pty Ltd. He brings a strong background in Human Resources and Occupational Health & Safety.

Spencer is currently District Grand Registrar of Carpentaria District and was the President of the Carpentaria District Board of Benevolence 2002-2011. He joined the Board in 2002 and chairs the Investment Committee. He has been in the Financial Services industry since 1972, and operates his own financial planning business under a company structure.

Bill joined the Board in 2004 and serves on the Planning and Review Committee. Now retired, he had 37 years experience in the IT industry in Project Management and Strategic Planning. That experience is spread over University and the Public and Private sectors. He is a Director of his family company which operated an Aged Care facility from 1972 to 2004.

Gavin was appointed to the Board in July 2011, and serves on the Planning and Review Committee. He is a Director of Wilde & Woollard (Qld) Quantity Surveyors, Construction Cost Consultants & Asset Managers. He is a National Councillor of Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and past President of the Queensland Chapter. He is a member of the State Executive of Scouts Queensland and also currently holds the uniform role of Branch Commissioner for Rovers. He has also previously served at various times on the Development, Strategic Planning and Property sub-committees of Scouts Queensland.
